ABOUT THE MISSIONS COMMITTEE:
1. All Missionaries are presented before the congregation at every Annual
Business Meeting for approval.
2. Those approved by the congregation MAY be supported from the Missions
General Fund as determined by the Missions Committee.
3. Support for any missionary is based on the funds available. Just because
they are approved does not mean that they will receive support OR that the
available funds will be split equally among all those approved to receive
support. The missions committee determines the amount and frequency
of support for any approved missionary.
4. Offerings may be designated for a particular missionary that is NOT
approved by the congregation. For "Designated Offerings" to be
considered "deductible" they should be to a missionary who is part of a
valid missions organization. It is in fact best to designate the funds to that
organization.
5. Missionaries may be removed from support by the TBC Board of Deacons
but may not be added to the approved list by them.
